Countdown to red and green

My favorite time of year is when the seasons change. Yeah, I enjoy watching nature take its course, watching the leaves change color and fall, but it’s not the weather as much as it is omnipresent energy. There’s anticipation, an excitement for what’s to happen over the next few months. The holiday season always delivers intense energy. Families, friends and strangers come together in ways unimaginable and sometimes when support or comfort is not the easiest thing to give. I wish the feeling would continue all year, but we all know it comes in waves.

In New York, I am sitting right outside a ball of energy that is about to burst. After Thanksgiving it’s all over. I’m already starting to hear holiday music, gaze at elaborate store displays and walk under street-cascading Christmas lights and glowing Snowflakes in the East Village. New York symbolizes many things to many people and to me New York during Christmastime symbolizes spirit.

Cheers!

You're so lucky! Everytime I hear from you I think of the phrase "the time of your life!" I have succombed to finally admitting that I love the essence of the holidays. But have been telling myself for years that I hate the holidays. It's like every city turns into Disneyland, especially NYC. I'm gonna be in London when the ball drops, hours before all my friends enter into the new year! I will text you!!!
